Francisco Zuniga Muchacha en la Silla – Girl in the Chair – Brewster 46 is a sunning example of Francisco Zuniga’s original prints. This striking lithograph printed in black and siena is reminiscent of the Zuniga’s charcoal drawings with beautiful transitions of highlights and shadowing. Female nudes and figures are the centerpieces of much of Zuniga’s art, often draped in simple linen sheets like this figure. The drapery in the composition offers a wonderfully satisfying texture juxtaposed against the smooth skin of the woman. This is generally an exquisite composition by the artist.
