Sonia Delaunay is one of the important female Modern Masters of 20th Century Art. Primarily known for her abstract and geometric artworks, Sonia Delaunay and her husband Robert Delaunay developed a colorful abstract style influenced by Cubism known as Orphism. Eventually Sonia Delaunay’s unique geometric compositions became the bases for her textile and fabric designs. Aside from painting and creating prints she opened a fashion studio in which her fabric designs were used in her costume and clothing designs.
